One of the things that makes the Asheville one of our most popular floorplans is its versatility.. After living in Stapleton for a while, Kristin and Casey decided they needed more space for their growing family. Take a look at how they made the Asheville floorplan unique to them and scroll to the bottom to see the gallery!

Tell me about your last home and neighborhood and why you chose to move to Stapleton and into a Parkwood.

"My husband and I were already living in Stapleton when we decided to buy a Parkwood home. We loved the community but were looking for a house with more space inside and out. The first time we walked through the Asheville model we knew it was the home for us. We instantly fell in love and had to build one of our own."

What specific things were you looking for in a new home?

"We wanted a 'forever home' with timeless charm and character that included modern comforts and a spacious floorplan that fit our lifestyle. Parkwood Homes combined the best of old and new."

How did you feel about Parkwood's customization process, and what are some of the things you did to customize your home?

"The ability to make the home our own was a huge selling point for us. The lot size we selected was slightly bigger than average. We wanted as much yard space as possible to play with our kids, entertain, and have fun outside. We customized the size of our driveway with dreams of a basketball hoop. The hoop hasn't happened yet, but the backyard is great. We finished it off last summer with an in-ground trampoline and sand box. Inside the house my favorite customization is the huge master shower and heated tile floor."

What was your favorite part of the process, and what are your favorite things about your new home?

"We really enjoyed selecting the finishes for the house. Picking the tile, carpet, and countertops was fun. We had so many wonderful designs to choose from. We mixed wood and steel, matte and shiny for the calm and serene look we desired. The hardest part about it was sticking to a budget."

Anything else you'd like to share or comment on?

"The process wasn't easy. Waiting for the house to be finished may have been the hardest part. Once we signed the contract we were emotionally ready to start living in our new home. But the wait was worth it. We absolutely love our new home and are happy we built with Parkwood."
